Hi Loves,

Happy New Year! I graciously welcomed 2022 in one of the most beautiful places ever… San Diego.

Bryce’s parents have owned a boat in San Diego for a while, so we have had the pleasure of visiting quite often. I wanted to put together a list of recommendations for your next trip to America’s Finest City.

Drinks

False Idol

False idol is a tiki-themed speakeasy. It’s like Disney for adults. While it’s supposed to be secretive, the lounge is the perfect start to a wild night out with friends.

Lion Share

Lion Share has become one of our favorite places in San Diego. Bryce and I go almost every time we are in town. The vibe reminds me of The Chronicles of Narnia. They have an extensive cocktail list, but my favorite one used to be a chocolate old fashioned.

Food

Cesarina

Literally some of the best pasta I have ever had. You have to make a reservation pretty far in advance to secure a table.

Lion Share

Best cocktails and best small plates. The menu is experimental. I’ve never had anything I wasn’t obsessed with there.

Top of the Market

This is the perfect restaurant for a fancy, chic dinner. It overlooks the ocean and is in walking distance to the USS Midway Museum. It’s also located extremely close to the famous kissing sailor statue.

Nolita Hall

Nolita Hall is located in little Italy and is so much fun. The food is a little pricey for what it is, but it’s definitely one of those hip places you have to check out.

Coffee

Communal Coffee

Bryce’s sister, Kelsea recommended this coffee shop to me during our last trip to San Diego, so we checked it out! It’s safe to say that it did not disappoint. Aside from it having amazing coffee and food, communal coffee is also an incredible flower shop.

Holy Matcha

If you are on the hunt for very aesthetic photos, Holy Matcha is a must! Not only do they have amazing matcha concoctions, each location is decorated beautifully. It’s also a Latina woman owned business.

Attractions/Beaches

Sunset Cliffs

Not far from downtown San Diego is Sunset Cliffs. Drive up there a few minutes before the sun heads down to live out your main character moment.

Coronado

A great day trip is to explore Coronado Island. I could spend hours walking around checking out the houses there. Not to mention, they have a fantastic beach. Don’t forget to stake some time to check out the old hotel and trendy boutiques.

La Jolla

If you’re looking for another awesome day trip and rented a car, La Jolla is a perfect. There is so much wildlife on the beach, it feels surreal. Make sure to pack your swimsuit and sign up for a cave tour. I believe there are several kayak tours that will take you through the ocean caves.

Boat Tour

The best way to see San Diego is by boat! Spend a day out on the water and enjoy the peacefulness the sea air brings.

Until next time, Spread Kindness.
