Hi Loves,
My Halloween decor took a dark turn this year, which lead me to gravitate towards bringing in elements of nature. I wanted it to feel like the curiosities were haunted. Oracle, located in the Crossroads of Kansas City, was the true inspiration for this DIY.
On our sideboard, underneath the TV, there was a blank space that needed to be spook-a-fied. After marveling at every nook and cranny inside of Oracle, I was inspired to create my own little cloches. It was so easy. I could change it out for the Christmas.
I found my cloches at Michaels. They were 50% off which made them so affordable.
*side note you can fill these cloches with anything your heart desires. Think about bottle brush trees for the holidays or a chocolate bunny at Easter. The ideas are limitless.
Supply List:
- Glass Cloches Different sizes (JoAnn’s, Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, Thrift Stores)
- Moss Rocks (Amazon)
- Stick (from the yard)
- Butterflies (Hobby Lobby in floral area-Oracle has real preserved butterflies)
- Crystal (Oracle)
- Scorpion (Hobby Lobby)
- Moss (Hobby Lobby, JoAnn’s, Michaels)
- Mushrooms mini (JoAnn’s Tim Holtz collection)
- Mushroom Large (Michael’s Green Moss Pick by Ashland $2.49)
I used a little hot glue for securing items but not too much because I know these cloches are going to be reappearing in December.
As I was watching the Chiefs game I put my little curiosities together. It didn’t take much time for a fun decor item. Let your imagination run wild as you create your little collection.
Until next time, Spread Kindness.
