On Good Riddance Day 2023, I decided to leave a few things behind and not carry them over to 2024. Of course, I wrote down the typical ideals that you don’t want to bring into the new year like regrets, guilt and characteristics of stress or anxiety.
What I’m about to tell you is a bit embarrassing, but you may feel this way too, so let it be known that you’re not alone. I left “feeling stinky” in 2023 and watched it burn with satisfaction. Let me be clear; I don’t believe that I was a walking Pigpen from Snoopy with wafts of dirt flying around me, I just knew that I wanted to elevate my scent game. Long story short, I’m on a journey to find perfumes that mix well with my body oils and have long-lasting effects. Now that it’s officially March of 2024, I’m happy to report that I’ve added a few perfumes to my weekly arsenal.
Here’s everything I’m wearing to make me feel and smell fresh.
This is probably one of the most interesting scents on the market and it truly smells different on everyone. The traces of black pepper and patchouli smoke have me reaching for this perfume all the time. It’s my go-to, everyday scent. I can’t get enough of it.
Maison Louis Marie – No.04 Bois de Balincourt
A friend of mine always wears this perfume and I love the variation of how it smells on her versus me. Some have said it smells like a pickle when applied at first however, over time, it becomes an earthy, light fragrance.
Replica – Under the Lemon Trees
On days when I need a little sunshine, I apply this perfume for instant happiness. It literally smells like a lemon tree.
Over the colder months, I have been rocking Jazz Club. It starts out as a smoky scent and over time transforms into a delicious sweet aphrodisiac. This scent is also unisex.
One spritz of this perfume will have you smelling like you waltz through a field of flowers and powdered your body afterward. It reminds me so much of my grandmother, making me love it even more.
Jo Malone – English Pear & Freesia
Fresh, clean and springy are three words I would use to describe this scent. It’s my tried-and-true.
I originally purchased a teeny-tiny sample size of this perfume and I simply cannot live without it. Unfortunately, I ran through this because I was utterly in love with the marshmallow, spicy scent of this fragrance. It reminds me of an old fashioned. While it’s a pretty penny, I can assure you that will be dreaming of this scent after applying it. Angel Share is my favorite perfume that I’ve ever worn.
Vacation Brand Sunscreen – Vacation
Beach trip? Pool day? This coconut sunscreen scent is a vacation bottled up.
Maison Matine – Nature Insolente
I wear perfume when I workout sometimes. I know that’s probably weird, but I do it anyway. I always get compliments when I wear this one. It’s citrusy and loud but makes you feel youthful.
